K-DEMar 0.8 Khronos Lite

Acaba de salir la versión 0.8 de K-DEMar Khronos Lite (antigua Khronos)

El cambio de nombre se debe aque vamos a dedicar esta versión a equipos antiguos, y, aparecerá otra versión, llamada Khronos, más nuevos y útil también para los ordenadores nuevos completamente (sin llevar KDE).    Iremos informando de éstas.

Las novedades principales son

* Basada en Debian Etch

* Nucleo 2.6.25.10 optimizado para equipos antiguos

* Escritorio formado por IceWM, Idesk y Xfe como explorador de archivos.

* Procesador de texto Abiword 2.4.6 y Hoja de cálculo Gnumeric 1.6.3

Próxima versión de K-DEMar Khronos 0.8 Lite

Tras un largo tiempo sin saber nada de la hermana pequeña de K-DEMar, vuelve K-DEMar Khronos, pero esta vez lo hace en formato estable y con un ligero y a la vez lógico cambio de nombre, pasando a ser su nombre completo el de Khronos Lite.

Esta version 0.8 de K-DEMar Khronos Lite está basada en debian etch, viene con el núcleo 2.6.25.10, que aunque está optimizado para aprovechar mejor el hardware antiguo, al ser una version bastante nueva,  soporta además un amplio número de dispositivos más modernos, lo que hace que pueda ser tambien instalable en un ordenador más actual, si bien no se aproveche todas sus posibilidades.

Próxima versión de CSS-Miami

Informamos que próximamente actualizaremos CSS-Miami.

Siguiendo la tradicional lista de mejoras, estará completamente hecho en python QT4, con las mejoras de usabilidad, y rendimiento que ello comporta.

Se ha mejorado el editor de contenido, la flexibilidad de python y QT4 lo permite

K-DEMar 4.6.1

Por fin!!!

Han salido los dos sabores de K-DEMar 4.6.1  tanto la Leo (DVD), como Lyra (CD) lista para descargar y funcionando al 100%

* Con amule 2.2.1

* Entrada gráfica en live-cd y instalada (gfxgrub)
* Corregido problema de arranque con portátiles antiguos

* Mejorado soporte a PulseAudio (libao, amsn, dsp y audacious)

* Solucionado problemas del Instalador 5 (reportados en el foro y otros pequeños)

* Y más…

¡Felicidades al equipo de KDE!

KDE 4.1 acaba de hacer su aparición, en su versión estable.

Aporta un gran número de novedades y mejoras respecto a las anteriores versiones que la hacen útil para el entorno de usuario final.

Desde aquí les damos la más sincera enhorabuena por esta versión; es un gran trabajo y un gran avance.

K-DEMar 4.6 Lyra

Tal como prometimos, hoy 16 de Julio del 2008, presentamos la nueva K-DEMar 4.6 con un montón de novedades técnicas y estéticas.

* Hemos renovado completamente la imagen y estética, teniendo un look más atractivo y más cómodo por la unidad de aspecto en todos los programas.

* Hemos renovado el instalador para darle un aspecto mejor y ampliar las capacidades que éste tenía

* Hemos incluido un centro de bienvenida para el usuario, llamado kdemarstart

* Se ha definido Smplayer como reproductor de vídeo por defecto

* Ha sido incluido Mozilla Firefox 3.0

Anunciamos que la versión 4.6 de K-DEMar está prevista para 16 julio 2008

Los cambios más importantes, son los siguientes:

* Navegador web Mozilla Firefox 3.0
* Pulseaudio como servidor de sonido (en sustitución de Alsa)

* kdemarstart (centro de bienvenida)
* Reproductor multimedia Smplayer por defecto
* Knetwork-manager (gestion automatizada de internet)
* Algunas mejoras gráficas (gfxgrub, oxygen cursor&icons, splashy aun más temprano en el inicio)
* Solucionado bug que provocaba errores al actualizar
* Se han corregido los errores encontrados y reportados

Es una versión que da más movilidad al ordenador e incorpora dos de las 4 estrellas de kdemar5, instalador y kdemarstart.
